Ketamine Infusions for Chronic Pain, CRPS, Migraine Headaches, Fibromyalgia, PTSD and Depression

Dr. Vilensky has extensive experience with Ketamine as a general anesthetic during his 20+ year practice as an Anesthesiologist. Ketamine has been used for general anesthesia in adults and children since the 1970s and has proven to be very safe with minimal side effects on the heart and respiratory system.

It has been also demonstrated that Ketamine in low doses is quite effective in treating Chronic Pain, Fibromyalgia, CRPS, Migraine Headaches, Depression and PTSD. Improvements may even occur after the first treatment, but the effects of only one Ketamine Infusion are not likely to last too long. Typically, at least 4 – 6 treatments given 2 – 3 times a week are required to achieve a lasting response.

When used for Chronic Pain therapy or psychiatric conditions, such as depression or PTSD, Ketamine is administered intravenously in very low doses, much lower than when it is used for general anesthesia. The Ketamine infusion time is about 40 minutes. The patient stays awake during the treatment session.

Ketamine is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women, in individuals with certain cardiovascular conditions, liver problems and certain psychiatric disorders. We will have to review your pertinent medical history before scheduling your Ketamine Infusion treatment with us.

Ketamine Infusions are not covered by insurance and the cost is $450 per infusion (for less than 4 sessions). If you get 4 or more sessions, it will cost $400 per Ketamine infusion.
